Who we are
The South African Street Workout & Calisthenics Association (SASWCA) is a non-profit association. For the purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), SASWCA is the responsible party for the information you send through this website. You can reach us at info@saswca.co.za.
What we collect
Only what you type into one of our four forms:
- Athlete and judge applications: your name, email, province, and anything optional you choose to add, like a phone number, club or experience.
- Club affiliation: the club's details, a contact person's name, email and phone, and a logo if you attach one.
- Open Saturday hosting: the host club, a contact person, the venue and session details.
We do not ask for ID numbers, banking details or anything about your health.
What we do with it
We use it to review your application, reply to you, and, if it is approved, to add you or your club to the register or the Open Saturday board. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone outside the SASWCA board except where the law requires it.
Where it goes
When you submit a form, the details are emailed to the SASWCA board through Resend, an email delivery service, and a confirmation is emailed back to you. The website does not store your application in a database. The emails are kept for as long as we need them to administer your membership or affiliation, and are deleted when they are no longer needed.
Cookies
The public website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookies set are the sign-in cookies for the association's own admin area, which visitors never reach.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@saswca.co.za. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
